San Francisco, CA
Mayor Lee and the San Francisco’s Office of Civic Engagement and Immigrant Affairs (OCEIA) has partnered with six philanthropic organizations and seven community-based natural service providers that share the common goal of promoting citizenship and civic participation among the city’s lawful permanent residents to build San Francisco’s Pathways to Citizenship Initiative (SF Pathways). The campaign aims to inform immigrants about citizenship, prevent immigration services fraud, deliver high-quality naturalization services, and encourage newly naturalized citizens to contribute to San Francisco’s overall success and prosperity. Service providers offer multiple free workshops at, and in partnership with, the City College of San Francisco, Chinatown/North Beach Campus, during which prospective citizens are offered free legal advice, application assistance, language services, and fee waiver application assistance.
